Trout, Tenacity, and Tiles: The Art and Science of Freshwater Research and Education
Dominic Chaloner has been a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Notre Dame, for almost two decades. He is an aquatic ecologist by training and much of his research has focused on how Pacific salmon influence the streams and rivers in which they spawn. Most recently, Chaloner has been interested in how intellectual character develops in scientists during their education and training, and novel approaches to promote awareness of environmental change through ArtScience collaborations. He has taught many different courses, including introductory biology, environmental science, ecology, and statistics. Chaloner is also the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Environmental Sciences major.
